Your North Node, your lifetime

In astrology, the north node is a theme during one’s lifetime, from the time the person is born, until they pass away. It’s usually a struggle for the person to move away from their south node, until they get comfortable with their North Node. In fact, it may be a life long process, and an ongoing lesson for the person incarnated. It may be a struggle, but it doesn’t have to be hell, or tedious, or even perplexing.

In truth, one doesn’t have to fret if they don’t meet the demands of the North Node right away, or even by the time they’re 30. It’s better to think of the North Node as a 80/90 year journey (unless the person dies early), instead of one abrupt, simple stroke.

Take a North node in the 12th house person. This means they have North Node in the 6th house. A 6th house South Node may mean the person spent many of their past lives (at least three??) being ‘on’, being an example for their community, working many jobs, analyzing, discerning, thinking, being obsessed with details, being responsible, etc, etc. Now, with their North Node in the 12th house, they are given many opportunities, to learn about 12th house subject, and to loosen their grip on their 6th house habits.

That’s not to say that they should just throw all of their South Node skills away. The name of ‘the game’ is balance. The 12th house North Node person, must balance over analyzing and driving themselves crazy with over-analysis, or overdoing their 12th house ‘letting go’ process. Of course, overplaying the 12th house ‘surrender’ games can lead to sloppy, muddy, and troublesome waters. How 12th house is that?

Don’t worry too much though, the North Node is a life long theme, not a fleeting moment type of thing. A person will have many chances to honor their North Node themes, and other lessons. Of course, if one believes in karma, or reincarnation, one must wonder if one’s choices will lead to repeating the North Node lesson. Of course, one may spend MORE THAN ONE LIFETIME, working on one subject. Do we get the same North Node for a few lifetimes, say, half a dozen? No one knows, but perhaps we might face, at

-least similar situations, and lessons, if one doesn’t learn it the first time, or second. Anyone reading seen Groundhog Day? If one feels they’ve failed a lesson, they must meditate and reflect. Of course, there is always free will, or one feels they don’t need to learn a lesson. It’s all up to the one incarnated into this 3D hologram, known as Earth. The universe is giving and loving, and will give said incarnated person, many chances.

Saturn transits and harvesting your karma

Saturn transits are sometimes looked down as scary, cold, lonely, uncomfortable, and even downright cruel and sadistic. The sadistic part being Saturn, or at least Saturn being viewed as sadistic. There are some kernels of truth to these fears and points of views. However, there is also an upside to Saturn transits if you truly know how Saturn works.

You see, Saturn is the planet of karma. You reap what you sow with Saturn, and sometimes not even in the same lifetime. Saturn is a long term planner, even looking at multiple lives through the view of reincarnation. She expects moral perfection and professional perfection. Sounds ‘hard’ and ‘cold’, right? This, however, lives up to the reputation of Saturn being the disciplinarian and the one who punishes. She is a master hard ass.

She also rewards those who work hard and have integrity. Humans, however, are imperfect, morally and professionally. We have egos, we make mistakes, and sometimes we even make excuses. Saturn wants us to become better versions of ourselves and to treat ourselves, and others, with respect.

One thing about Saturn, however, is that Saturn also rewards. She rewards a person after many long and hard years of work. Those going through a victorious and golden Saturn transit probably had worked sometimes as much as ten, or twenty years to get to where they were, or are. For example, a Saturn conjunct Sun transit can bring rewards such as a huge promotion or a raise. These rewards are even more appreciated because of how hard won they are.

A Saturn transit to the 10th house can bring a harvest of amazing recognition. It can elevate a person to a new plateau that they had not reached yet until that moment.

Be wary and careful though because Saturn also teaches us hard lessons, even cutting and cruel ones, if we don’t keep in line or don’t keep our noses clean. A Saturn transit through the 10th house can also bring a downfall a la Richard Nixon. It can be a devastating blow to a person’s spirit and sense of self. Same thing with a Saturn transit conjunct the Sun, or any important angles towards the sun. Some reap really bad luck, or karma, during these transits, some negative karma during these transits are from years or decades of not working right, or lacking integrity. And some negative karma are sowed from many past lives.

Every farmer wants a good harvest and probably most people too. Those with a good head on their shoulders will reap a healthy and abundant harvest and those that have neglected their work, a lot not even in this current life, will reap painful and unwanted bad luck, or karma.

Use your hard lessons to avoid making the same mistakes in the future and use the pain to avoid lacking morals and ethics. Saturn is watching, for some people with their astrological charts, they reap near instant karma, when they fall off the rails on purpose, or lack order or morals. A lot of others will get away with shady business deals and immoral decisions for lifetimes, that is until they have the ‘instant’ karma mark in their spirits, and astrological charts. Remember, enlightenment can be painful but sometimes pain is needed in order to grow. There will still be pleasure though, sometimes the pleasure is well deserved, and sometimes it’s not. But enjoy whatever pleasures you can from whatever form it comes in, that you prefer.

Saturn’s last leg in Scorpio: Morbid!

I saw a woman, about 25, who had a complete mental and emotional breakdown on Facebook a couple of weeks ago. She has an Aquarius Moon, which means that Saturn in Scorpio squares her Moon by sign. Her rant on Facebook was so intense, she even told her own father to screw (edited) off.

Some people are so miffed or intense right now, it’s as if all that they’ve held back has finally hit them. Everything from the past three years came to a big explosion. Don’t surprise if relationships that are weak, break. Don’t be surprised that there are going to be mental and emotional breakdowns. Also, lots of endings and ‘epiphany’ moments in life, right now. People are making lasting and important decisions this summer. As if this summer is a time for last hurrahs, and sad endings too.

Scorpio rules death, literal and figuratively. Watch as some are even driven towards suicides and how some literally die. The death side of Scorpio is morbid and intense but it’s an important, sometimes even karmic, side of life.

So say your prayers, keep well medicated if need be, and hang on until September, when Saturn goes into Sagittarius, for good. This summer is a bumpy ride. There is relief though, because on August 2, 2015, Saturn will go direct. Saturn, the slowest planet, finally moves forward, making things a lot less slow.

Not every dislikes Saturn in Scorpio but for a lot, it’s a bit to bite. The bite is too big for their mouths. Perhaps realizing that Saturn in Scorpio will be over in only two months will make it feel better. Even it going forward will be enough good news for most to stay sane. But for now, tie up loose ends baby! Tie it all up and begin anew in happy and optimistic Sagittarius. And maybe make some lemonade for this hot, intense, and sexy summer.

The 12th house of healing

The 12th house can be a wonderful place. It is a place for healing and it is also a place for escape. It is a place to escape from the public eye and the noise of the world. It is a perfect place for anyone who has been hurt or hit with trauma. The 12th house rules hospitals, prisons, a mother’s womb, being close to God, water, big animals, forgiveness, and more.

It is too ethereal and elusive for this very violent and angry world. It is a place where one is one with the universe, or God. Some find the idea of the 12th house something to be feared or even eerie, yet I find a place of peaceful solitude.

One idea that scares people about the 12th house is that it is also the house of past life karmas. It is a place where many of our seeds/karma from past lives come back to haunt us. This is true, but what is also true is that there is good, or even great karma here also. Just think of the 12th house like the ocean. You cannot force your will against the waves, but you can learn to roll with the punches. This house is a place to be feared for control freaks and people who need to know everything.

An antidote for the anxieties towards this house is for the guest to surrender. Complete and utter surrender. It is because this house is so close to God, that we realize that we have limited control and knowledge about the universe. It is not the kind of surrender where you accept losing a war, or accept getting physically beaten up. It is the kind of surrender where you have done all you could in your power as a human being, and now you give it up to the universe, or God, for this higher power to take care of. It doesn’t mean let go of the steering wheel when you’re driving.

The 12th house also is related to mental hospitals. But mental hospitals, hospitals, and prisons, are places where people can learn to heal, rebuild, and get ready for the new beginning that begins in the 1st house.

It is a place for literal ghosts and spirits. They rest and some utter the pain they had during their earthly life, or incarnation. Be careful of the fog that exists in this house, but you’ll just have to trust that you’ll get help and get a clear path! Just sit back and let the pure waters of the 12th house soothe you, and heal you. What a peaceful place the 12th house can be.
